About Whitstable
Whitstable is situated at the South side of the Thames estuary. During low tide with easterly or westerly winds the water can be perfectly flat due to a sandbar "The Street" which goes out into the sea in a 90 degree angle from the beach. Otherwise the water is quite choppy. The sea bottom is rocky in a lot of areas so boots are recommended.
