About Floras Lake
Fresh water, smooth up at the top (windward side), choppy for the rest. The top is very shallow (waist deep) for a couple hundred feet, then it starts getting deeper. Spring fed, very clean and clear. The water is shallow around the top of the lake, about waist deep, it gets deeper the further away you are from the northern side. If you want waves, you can ride on the ocean side with very nice waves which can get very big.

How do I get to Floras Lake?
30 min. south of Eugene on I-5, take Hwy 38 through Drain , which puts you out at Highway 101 at Reedsport. Head south on Highway 101 through Bandon to Langlois. Go 1/4 mile past Langlois and turn right at small brown metal sign that reads Floras Lake - Boice Cope Park (this road is Floras Lake Loop). Go about 1 mile and take right on Floras Lake Road. Go about 1.5 miles, after road bends sharply to the left, take first right at Boice Cope Road.
